Sketching is a rapidly executed freehand drawing that is not usually intended as a finished work. A sketch may serve a number of purposes: it might record something that the artist sees, it might record or develop an idea for later use or it might be used as a quick way of graphically demonstrating an image, idea or principle.

Sketching improves your holistic health. As you build your self-esteem and confidence
through your art and your sketches as you become better and better. You will get a sense of
achievement and start feeling proud of your art and you will carry that confidence through
the rest of your life. Having confidence in your work -whatever it is- is an incredibly useful
thing to have.
Rest and relaxation is one of the main advantages of sketching, as a hobby. Sketching allows
you to sit back and sketch a picture at your own pace. There are no rules and no one telling
you what to do, you can just draw whatever you want and have fun while doing it.
